The Minister of Health chairs the meeting of the Ministerial Group for Human Development

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population, Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, chaired the regular meeting of the Ministerial Group for Human Development today, Tuesday. To discuss a number of work files for the coming period, in a way that contributes to raising the group’s efficiency in implementing its strategic plans, and supporting human development efforts in a sustainable manner, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Health in the New Administrative Capital.
This came in the presence of the Minister of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation, Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, the Minister of Youth and Sports, Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Dr. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Maya Morsi, the Minister of Social Solidarity, Dr. Osama Al-Azhari, the Minister of Endowments, and Mohamed Gibran, Minister of Labour, Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, Dr. Majed Othman, rapporteur of the Supreme Advisory Committee for Human Development and former Minister of Communications and Information Technology, in addition to the technical secretariat of the committee, which includes a number of deputies, assistants, deputies and advisors to ministers, and a number of representatives of ministries and concerned authorities.
The official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, explained that the meeting reviewed the results of what was agreed upon in the group meeting. The Minister praised the coordination between all concerned parties and the performance of the members of the group, stressing that every activity proposed will be coordinated and included within the group’s events and activities. During the meeting, a summary of what was accomplished at the conference and the outputs was reviewed, with the aim of developing them and including them in human development plans. He explained that the meeting discussed the section related to human development within the national narrative, in line with the goals required to be achieved during the next stage, and reflects the future vision of the state. It was emphasized that each ministry has a clear jurisdiction within the scope of its work without interference, with the importance of achieving full integration and coordination between the concerned parties to ensure reaching the desired results. The communication that has been accomplished with representatives of the ministries was also presented in this file, with an emphasis on the possibility of achieving all indicators and targets. The proposal was presented, in preparation for presenting the proposal to the Prime Minister, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly.
He added that the meeting reviewed the latest developments in the project to establish children’s nurseries within youth centers and clubs, as the minister stressed the importance of forming a coordination committee headed by Dr. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, which includes representatives of the ministries and concerned authorities, with the aim of developing a unified curriculum to be adopted in all nurseries, including scientific, sports and cultural aspects and all related activities. child development, to reach an integrated operational model. The meeting also touched on the “Voice of Action” initiative. As an integrated digital service for dealing with the complaints of Egyptian workers, with an emphasis on the pivotal role of training centers and developing them in line with the needs of the labor market, especially in light of the connection of these efforts to the national narrative and its future goals.
For her part, the Minister of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation, Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, congratulated the Minister on the success of the World Conference on Population, Health and Human Development, which embodies the Egyptian state’s awareness that investment in human capital is an essential pillar for achieving development, stressing that The “National Narrative for Economic Development” will include a special chapter on human development based on the conference’s outcomes, in a way that supports the state’s efforts to build humanity, improve the quality of services provided to citizens, and enhance social protection, as they are essential elements for supporting productivity-based growth and raising the efficiency of the labor market. Ministries and relevant authorities to ensure the success of the project and achieve its goals.
He pointed out that the state owns about 5,000 youth centers and 1,200 clubs, while 14 nurseries have already been operated in a number of youth centers nationwide, in addition to 24 upbringing centers in the governorates of Cairo, Alexandria, and Aswan. The Minister also stressed the need to prepare specialized training programs for workers in these nurseries, in coordination between the Ministries of Education and Social Solidarity, with cooperation with the Ministry of Health to periodically monitor the health and nutritional status of children, stressing the importance of adhering to a unified model for all nurseries to ensure the quality of the service provided, in addition to setting a five-year timetable to establish the targeted number of nurseries and reach the full capacity specified for the project.
For his part, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, indicated that Universities are working to train students to provide them with skills and knowledge that are compatible with the requirements of the modern labor market, explaining that the latest artificial intelligence tools and applications have been provided and made available to students, faculty members and researchers, through the Egyptian Knowledge Bank, with the aim of supporting the scientific research process and facilitating access to reliable information.
He stressed the importance of coordination with the Ministry of Education, Education and Technical Education to implement training programs targeting school students, ensuring the qualification of a new generation possessing advanced digital skills capable of keeping pace with global developments in the fields of learning, research and innovation. He also stressed the need for universities to focus on scientific research and ideas that can be transformed into innovations and applicable products that have an economic impact on society, and to enhance scientific and research cooperation between universities, the industry community, business and productive institutions, as well as linking the research product to industry, and directing scientific research to serve society, in line with achieving the goals of the presidential initiative “Alliance and Development”, and in line with implementing the goals of the national strategy for higher education and scientific research.
For her part, Dr. Maya congratulated Morsi. Minister of Social Solidarity, Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, on the success of the World Conference on Population, Health and Development. The Minister of Social Solidarity stressed the necessity of launching a national project to promote early childhood, because of its direct impact on human development, reviewing the preliminary results of the comprehensive national inventory of nurseries nationwide, which included the number of classes, occupancy rates and coverage, in addition to the percentage of children enrolled in nurseries in the age group of 3 to 4 years, while comparing these indicators with their counterparts in other countries.
She also pointed to the importance of simplifying procedures. Licensing and activating the digital licensing system, which contributes to increasing the number of classes and nurseries and achieving the desired goals in this vital file. For his part, Minister of Labor Mohamed Gibran pointed out that the project to establish nurseries in youth centers and clubs represents a pivotal step to support women’s participation in the labor market, as it provides a safe environment for their children and contributes to reducing the burden of family care. He stressed the importance of integrated coordination between all ministries and concerned authorities to ensure effective implementation, while emphasizing the need to adhere to licensing controls, especially with regard to occupational safety and health requirements. He explained that nursery programs must combine the educational aspect with sports activity to enhance Integrated upbringing for children.
He also reviewed during the meeting the “Voice of Action Initiative” It is an integrated digital service for receiving workers’ complaints and following up on their resolution, explaining the stages of dealing with complaints and the objectives of the operational and strategic initiative, in addition to reviewing the expected cost, the work plan, and future supporting programs in this framework.
For his part, the Minister of Education, Education and Technical Education, Mohamed Abdel Latif, stressed the importance of dividing the age groups when implementing the project to establish nurseries within youth centers and clubs, allowing for the preparation of appropriate curricula for each category, in addition to developing a vision for a budget compatible with the proposed activities. The Minister also reviewed the measures that were taken in implementation of the directives of the President of the Republic regarding the integration of programming and artificial intelligence into the curricula for first-year secondary school students, where the “Kerio” platform was launched. In cooperation with the Japanese side, teachers were also trained on it.
The minister presented a detailed report on the rates of use of the platform in various governorates, noting that 750,000 students registered on the platform and 236,000 students completed the educational content on it. The student will also receive an international certificate accredited by Hiroshima University if he passes the “TOFAS” test, explaining that the programming and artificial intelligence subject will be applied to technical education students starting from the next academic year.
