"Dubai Culture"It is completing its preparations to launch its winter camps

Dubai, 9 December / WAM / Dubai Culture announced the completion of its preparations to open its winter camps in all its heritage and cultural sites this December, with the aim of providing children and adolescents from the age of 4 to 14 years with rich educational and creative experiences that develop their skills and expand their intellectual horizons, in line with the Authority’s vision of creating an environment conducive to creativity and innovation.
The Shindagha Museum winter camp, scheduled to be held in two periods from 15 to 19 and from 22 to 26 December, offers an interactive trip under the slogan “Nature Adventurers,” during which children learn about the importance of the agricultural sector and its role in sustainability through practical workshops that include searching for palm treasures, solving puzzles in the farm escape room challenge, climbing palm trees, in addition to meeting beekeepers, exploring local plants and animals, designing small gardens, and learning to prepare traditional Buthitha sweets.
The Etihad Museum Winter Camp also receives participants during the same period with a program that addresses the history of the Emirates, the visions of the founding fathers, the values of teamwork and social responsibility, in addition to workshops in arts and ceramics, learning about falcons, sustainable agriculture, and exploring the basics of space science, satellites, and state projects in this field.
Al Jalila Center for Children’s Culture is offering its winter camp under the slogan “Wonders of the Universe” from 8 to 12 and from 15 to 19 December, and it includes workshops in plastic arts, ceramics, digital arts, cooking, candle making, and star telescope art, with a trip to Roboland and concluding with an art exhibition and theatrical presentation of children’s works.
As for the Dubai Public Libraries winter camp, which is held from December 15 to 26 under the slogan “Our Winter is Challenge and Creativity,” it offers various workshops in acrylic painting, pottery, 3D painting, sand painting, and shadow theater, in addition to manual activities and group games that develop the spirit of cooperation and focus and enhance children’s connection to heritage through saqa and folding workshops.
In conjunction with the camp, Dubai Culture is organizing a used book exhibition at Al Safa Arts and Design Library at nominal prices, with the aim of enhancing the sustainability of books and encouraging their circulation among members of the community.
