Nahyan bin Mubarak: "Sandooq Al Watan winter" A window for creativity, talent development, and enhancing identity values

Abu Dhabi, December 11 / WAM / His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sandooq Al Watan, confirmed that the “Sandooq Al Watan Winter” programs have become a window for identifying the creativity of young people, and supporting student talents in various literary, artistic, technical and sports fields, in addition to their main message of strengthening national identity, introducing students to its components, goals, role and status in the hearts of the sons and daughters of the Emirates, especially in future generations, and supporting the status of the Arabic language as a language. The Holy Quran.
He stressed that the successes of the programs are a continuation of Sandooq Al Watan’s excellence in the field of enhancing identity through dozens of initiatives, which come as a living embodiment of the wise vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him,” who always assures us that preserving the Emirati identity must be at the forefront of the priorities of all individuals and institutions.
This came following the inspection visit that His Excellency made yesterday to Abu Dhabi schools participating in the “Sandooq Al Watan Winter” program, which lasts for two weeks in all the emirates of the country. The visit began with His Excellency following the school students as they chanted the “Names of God,” then followed examples of the schools’ participation in the “Our Life in the Emirates” initiative.
His Excellency praised the participation of Abu Dhabi Municipality in training young people in organic agriculture to preserve the Emirati environment. In the Artificial Intelligence Room, His Excellency inspected the training of students to benefit from artificial intelligence technology in introducing the different Emirati environments within the geographical map of the country.
His Excellency witnessed a training workshop moderated by Mansour Al Mansouri, entitled “Eye on Nature,” to introduce students to the basics and skills of photography, and in the creativity and innovation room, he listened to young Emirati creativity in the fields of writing and visual arts.
His Excellency launched the Sandooq Al Watan Championship for Popular Games – the National Carrom Cup/first edition, with the participation of 55 teams from various schools in the country, considering carrom is a popular game and is classified as part of the country’s popular heritage.
His Excellency concluded his visit by following up on part of the discussion session moderated by Her Excellency Al-Reem Bint Abdullah Al-Falasi, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, entitled “The Wisdom of the Past and Today’s Technology.” The discussion revolved around how to restore true communication between family members with the participation of a large number of Emirati families and parents, under the slogan “A Cohesive Family, a Cohesive Society.” The session dealt with searching for commonalities between different generations within the framework of authentic Emirati values.
During his tour, His Excellency was accompanied by His Excellency Afra Al-Sabri, Director General of the Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence, His Excellency Yasser Al-Gergawi, Director-General of Sandooq Al-Watan, a number of intellectual and educational leaders, and members of the Board of Directors of GEMS International Academy.
His Excellency explained that strengthening national identity is not just a slogan, but rather interconnected actions that begin with awareness and end with building a cohesive society that cherishes its history, embraces its diversity, lays the foundation for its future, accepts its Arabic language, recognizes its beauties, and respects its values and heritage. This is what we learned from His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him.” Hence comes the importance of the Sandooq Al Watan winter program, which focuses on identity and the Arabic language of the Qur’an, through many cultural and artistic activities. Sports, community, heritage, national, and others, so that these values are part of daily life, stressing the necessity of reaching these values in innovative ways to new generations, in cooperation with all institutions.
He appreciated the efforts of the schools participating in the program and the contributions of all partners, supporters and volunteers, expressing his hope that the Sandooq Al Watan Winter Winter would achieve the desired success as in previous sessions, by gaining the trust of students and parents alike, stressing that this success makes this initiative a field in which students celebrate their identity, values, principles, and abilities, and demonstrate their strong commitment to good morals.
His Excellency added that all of the program’s activities, despite their diversity and richness, celebrate the new generations and work to deepen their awareness of the nation’s pulse, status, history, heritage and authentic values that enhance their belonging and loyalty to the nation and its wise leadership, and to its progress and achievements, which is what we are all committed to in accordance with the wise vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him.”
He stressed that the goal of the Fund is to contribute to building future generations who are aware of their national identity and capable of creativity and leadership, enhancing confidence in the Arabic language, developing reading and understanding skills in the Arabic language through Qur’anic verses, and unleashing the creative and innovative capabilities and skills of the new generation, especially artificial intelligence technology.
His Excellency praised the great enthusiasm he felt from all the participants, including school students, teachers, and the program management, and the diversity of the program’s activities that combine heritage, history, language, values, human behavior, and sports, in addition to activities related to artificial intelligence, sustainability, and the “Our Life in the Emirates” competition, stressing that this is evidence that Sandooq Al Watan is on the right path, and in accordance with the clear vision of our wise leadership.
