المملكة: Advanced extension programs to enhance the capabilities of the bee sector and develop resources in Al-Laith

Launch Office in in the Makkah Al-Mukarramah region launched a specialized awareness program to raise the technical readiness of local producers in preparation for the new season.
These field movements come in response to the urgent need to enable beekeepers to manage bee colonies with high efficiency, through a qualitative workshop entitled “Technical preparation of bee colonies before the season,” as part of a comprehensive plan to develop agricultural practices in the governorate.
A package of technical methods
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Beekeepers Association in the region reviewed Mecca, Aali Al-Qarni, presented during the workshop a package of advanced technical methods for preparing the hives, revealing precise protocols to enhance the immunity of the communities and ensure their safety from seasonal pests.
The technical discussions focused on mechanisms for raising the quality of honey and increasing the quantities produced in accordance with standard standards, while developing radical and scientific solutions to the environmental and operational challenges facing beekeepers in the region during the production seasons.
The director of the ministry’s office in the governorate stressed Al-Laith, Engineer Yahya Al-Mahabi, stressed that this indicative movement represents a fundamental pillar to ensure the sustainability of the bee sector, stressing the office’s commitment to transferring the latest global technologies to local producers through qualitative partnerships.
The beekeeper sector in Saudi Arabia
Al-Mahabi pointed out that raising the technical competence of beekeepers is directly and automatically reflected in the quality of the final product in the governorate, which enhances the competitiveness of local honey in the markets and supports the small economies of farmers.
The Ministry concluded by emphasizing the continuation of the pace of extension programs in various agricultural sectors, in an effort to achieve the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, which aims to transform the agricultural sector into a vital and sustainable tributary of national food security.
