Mohammed Al Sharqi receives the Fujairah Speedboat Team for winning the 2024 XCAT World Championship
Fujairah, December 11 / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, stressed the importance of investing in, supporting and developing the sports sector, which contributes to strengthening the emirate’s position in regional and international sports forums.
This came while His Highness received, in his office at the Amiri Diwan, the Fujairah Powerboat Team, led by the brothers Giuseppe and Rosario Ciano De Cola, and team manager Antonio De Cola, on the occasion of the team’s victory in the World Championship for X-Cat Racing for the 2024 season.
His Highness pointed out that His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Fujairah, is following up on the paths of developing the sports sector in general in the emirate, and marine sports in particular, and providing a stimulating and supportive environment that contributes to its development and achieving the best results in its regional and global activities and competitions.
During the meeting, His Highness was briefed on the most prominent stages of the team’s participation in the 2024 season, which resulted in achieving the world title after a strong competition that concluded with its coronation in the Dubai Grand Prix.
The team presented the championship cup to His Highness the Crown Prince of Fujairah, in appreciation of his support for the field of marine sports, while His Excellency Ahmed Ibrahim Al Balushi, Executive Director of the Fujairah International Marine Sports Club, expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Highness the Crown Prince for his interest and His Highness’s follow-up of the activities and achievements of the Fujairah International Marine Sports Club.
The reception was attended by His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Hamdan Al Zeyoudi, Director of the Office of His Highness the Crown Prince of Fujairah, and His Excellency Ahmed Ibrahim Al Balushi, Executive Director of the Fujairah International Marine Sports Club.
