Health launches the activities of the fifth edition of the “Egypt Oncology” conference
Today, Thursday, the Ministry of Health and Population launched the activities of the fifth session of the “Egypt Oncology” Conference, which is organized by the Secretariat of Specialized Medical Centers under the patronage of Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population.
In his opening speech on behalf of the General Secretariat of Specialized Medical Centers, Dr. Hatem Amin, CEO of the Women’s Health Initiative and Secretary General of the Conference, thanked the Ministry of Health. For its continued strategic support, he stressed that the conference represents a scientific and practical response to the state’s vision of investing in people, health justice, and sustainable development.
He added that the conference aims, over two days, to discuss the latest scientific developments in oncology, enhance cooperation between experts and institutions, and support national efforts to develop oncology services and provide high-quality care for all citizens.
For his part, Dr. Hazem Abu Al-Abbas, Assistant Head of the Secretariat of Specialized Medical Centers, stressed that the combination of advanced technology and human expertise has become the primary weapon to confront tumors, pointing to the major transformation brought about by artificial intelligence during In recent years, it has moved from an auxiliary tool to a real partner in accurate diagnosis, developing treatment plans, and achieving personalized medicine based on the genes and individual characteristics of each patient.
He pointed out that openness to global expertise and the integration of artificial intelligence have become an indispensable necessity for improving the oncology treatment system in Egypt.
The conference includes an intensive scientific program that includes discussion sessions and specialized workshops in the presence of an elite group of oncology professors and experts from inside and outside Egypt, with the aim of exchanging experiences and presenting the latest technologies. And treatments in this vital field.
