"Sharjah World Championships Week 2025" Launches December 19

Sharjah, 11 December / WAM / Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, Chairman of the Executive Council, the Emirate of Sharjah is hosting “Sharjah World Championships Week”, the final round of the World Powerboat Championship – “Formula 1” “Road to Sharjah” in its 24th session, organized by the “Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority” from 19 to 21 December, and its features are determined. The identity of the world champions for the conclusion of the 2025 season for the competing drivers and teams.

The final round of the Formula 1 World Powerboat Championship, “The Road to Sharjah,” will be held at Khalid Lagoon with the participation of an elite group of international drivers representing their teams competing for the first three places in the largest and most prominent championship of its kind in the world, during the “Sharjah World Championships Week,” which attracts an elite group of world champions in powerboat racing.

The Formula 1 World Powerboat Racing Championship includes a global series of races for single-passenger powerboats, and from the UAE in particular, several teams are competing for the championship title this year, including the “Sharjah Team” affiliated with the Sharjah International Marine Sports Club, which is currently ranked second on the team level, and which includes Canadian Rusty White, ranked fourth on the racer level, Estonian Stivian Arand, and Finnish Philipp Rums.

The “Abu Dhabi Team,” affiliated with the Abu Dhabi International Marine Sports Club, is also participating and is ranked fifth on the team level, and includes Rashid Al Qamzi, Mansoor Al Mansouri, and Eric Stark, in addition to the participation of the “Victory Team,” affiliated with the Dubai International Marine Sports Club, which is ranked first on the team level, with its contestants Ahmed Al Fahim, Alec Wickstrom, and Sean Torrente, ranked first on the contestant level so far.
