Mansour bin Zayed launches the “Horse Arena” project at the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club

His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the UAE, Deputy Prime Minister, Head of the Presidential Court, and Supreme President of the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club, launched the “Horse Arena” project. The integrated development project for the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club, which embodies Abu Dhabi’s vision of advancing the equestrian sector and consolidating its ancient heritage within a modern urban framework that enhances the quality of life and supports the emirate’s future directions in building integrated and advanced societies.
His Highness was briefed on the details of the club’s new urban plan, and listened to an explanation from the Chairman of the Presidential Authority for Protocol and Strategic Narration, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club, Mohammed Abdullah Al Junaibi, about the components of the project, which includes advanced facilities for equestrian sports, upscale residential units, modern health facilities, and various commercial spaces, in addition to a new club dedicated to members that provides an integrated experience with international standards.
His Highness also listened to an explanation provided by the Director General of the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club and Abu Dhabi Race Track, Engineer Ali Al Shaiba, and a number of project supervisors, about the technical aspects and stages of work, in addition to reviewing the timetable for implementing the project until its complete completion.
His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan stressed that the “Horse Arena” project reflects the distinguished position occupied by equestrian sports in Abu Dhabi, and the continuous support it receives, through the development of a civilized destination that combines authenticity and modernity, and contributes to consolidating the emirate’s position as a global destination for horse racing and equestrian sports.
His Highness stressed the importance of the project as a qualitative addition to the development scene in Abu Dhabi, due to the impact it has on the urban, sports and cultural infrastructure, stressing the need to adhere to the approved timetable to ensure its completion according to the highest standards.
For his part, Al Shaiba explained that the project will redevelop the club’s urban identity by creating an integrated destination that reflects the historical heritage, and at the same time presents an advanced model of the finest lifestyles and hospitality.
The “Horse Arena” project extends the legacy of the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club, which was founded by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, “may God rest his soul,” in 1976, to continue its role in establishing equestrianism as an integral part of the national identity.
Over more than five decades, the club has formed a major platform for sporting and cultural events in the emirate, which qualifies it today to embrace a new destination that embodies an exceptional mix of development and heritage depth.
“Al Khail Square” presents an integrated urban vision that takes into account the principles of sustainability and quality of life, by providing walking paths, open green spaces, and architectural designs that rely on natural lighting and improving air quality, in addition to advanced infrastructure and modern cooling systems that ensure the highest levels of comfort for residents and visitors throughout the year.
With its strategic location, Al Khail Arena will constitute one of the most prominent real estate destinations in Abu Dhabi, and a new development tributary that enhances the emirate’s position as a city that combines equestrianism and a modern lifestyle.
