“The Barcelona Belle” announces her departure after 14 years of achievements

The Spanish Football Club Barcelona announced, in a statement, that the star midfielder and Spanish club player Alexia Botias, who won the Ballon d’Or for the best player in the world twice, will leave the team after 14 years she spent at the club, and that the decision to leave the player who grew up in the “Catalan” club came with the expiration of her contract.
The 32-year-old star Alexia, nicknamed the “Belle of Barcelona,” leaves after a career full of achievements, the most recent of which came last weekend in helping her Barcelona team beat Olympique Lyonnais in France 4-0 in the Women’s Champions League final, through which Botias lifted the European Cup for the fourth time in her career. Alexia was also chosen as the best player in the Women’s Champions League for the current season.
The Barcelona administration, according to its statement, today, Wednesday, is holding a farewell party for its star, Alexia, at the Camp Nou stadium.
