Abu Dhabi, 12 December / WAM / The National Center of Meteorology issued a report today, on the weather situation during the period from 13 to 19 December, as it explained that the country is affected by a state of air instability in the form of waves, as a result of an extension of a surface air depression from the Red Sea accompanied by humid southeasterly winds, with an extension of an upper air depression that deepens and weakens at times, and is accompanied by an air current from the northwest.
The center said that during the period from Saturday to Monday, the weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy at times, with a chance of light to moderate rain, sometimes heavy, in some areas, especially on the islands and some coastal and northern areas.
He added that from Tuesday to Friday, the upper air depression will deepen, accompanied by a cold air mass, and the amount of clouds will increase over separate areas, interspersed with cumulus clouds, accompanied by rain of varying intensity at intervals and in the form of waves, with lightning and thunder at times, and the possibility of hail falling on some areas.
He pointed out that the winds will be southeasterly to northeasterly, turning to northwesterly, moderate to active, and sometimes strong, especially with cumulonimbus clouds, and they will raise dust and dust, leading to low horizontal visibility.
He stated that the sea will be light to medium waves, and turbulent at times, especially with clouds in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
