Health: Providing 7.8 million medical services in Qalyubia Governorate within 11 months

The Ministry of Health and Population announced that 7 million, 849 thousand and 897 medical services were provided to the people of Qalyubia during the period from January to November 2025, as part of the state’s efforts to achieve Egypt’s Vision 2030, led by Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population.

 

Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the Ministry’s official spokesman, explained that hospitals provided 2 million and 774 thousand And 571 services included emergency, outpatient clinics, intensive care, dialysis and physical therapy, in addition to 78,514 services through 38 evening clinics, 13,837 remote diagnostic services in 5 hospitals, and 55,127 services through 75 medical convoys targeting remote areas.

 

As part of the development, the efficiency of medical departments in 8 hospitals was raised, The introduction of new specialties in Al-Qanater Charitable Hospital, the activation of plastic, neurosurgery and endoscopy surgeries in Shebin Al-Qanater, the increase of care beds in Bahtim, the establishment of an endoscopy unit in Banha fever, with the comprehensive development of Toukh Central and the activation of the psychiatric, addiction and plastic surgery clinics in Abul Naga Hospital.

 

As for the primary care level, 5 million 75 thousand and 326 services were provided, 7 health units were accredited by the Accreditation and Supervision Authority, activating psychological support clinics in 12 facilities, and receiving 9 facilities within the “Decent Life” program. And operating 7 units out of 25, with the Al-Mukhtar Health Office and Qalyoub Medical Center operating 24 hours a day.

For his part, Dr. Osama Al-Shalaqani, Undersecretary of the Ministry in Qalyubia, confirmed the implementation of 2,906 specialized training courses in hospitals and 2,624 courses and workshops in health departments to keep pace with the latest treatment protocols, in addition to the supervisory inspection of 7,571 private medical facilities and 7,802 food facilities to ensure the application of the highest quality standards. And safety.
