Tunisian Wahbi Khazri announces his retirement from football

Tunisian football player Wahbi Khazri announced yesterday evening his retirement from football.
Khazri, 34, played for Bordeaux, Saint-Etienne, Montpellier and Bastia in France, but has been without a club since his departure from Montpellier last summer.
Al-Khazri said in an interview with Canal +: “It is time to announce the end of my career. This is the past that gave me a lot, and I gave a lot to it. I am very affected, and I did not know that I would react in this way.”
He added: “I thank my family, my loved ones, and my colleagues who gave me a lot. And the clubs that trusted me. And Tunisia, without which I would not have been able to participate in the World Cup. It is the end of an era.”
Khazri’s name will be immortalized in the memory of the French League thanks to his spectacular goals, including that famous shot when he scored a wonderful goal using the “lob” method for Saint-Etienne against Metz.
