"Integrated transportation" Wins a prize "Strategic Artificial Intelligence Project 2025"
ABU DHABI, 15 December / WAM / The Integrated Transport Center of the Department of Municipalities and Transport in Abu Dhabi won the “Strategic Artificial Intelligence Project 2025” award for the Autonomous Vehicles Project (TXAI), during the Middle East Summit for Artificial Intelligence and Analytics, which was recently held in Dubai.
The award is one of the specialized professional awards granted within the summit, and falls within the category of “Strategic Artificial Intelligence Projects,” which honors innovative initiatives in artificial intelligence applications, reflecting their practical impact and role in supporting digital transformation and improving the efficiency of services.
The “TXAI” project is the first experimental service for autonomous vehicles in the region, as its first phase began in 2021, and it comes as one of the projects that support the strategic direction of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi towards building a smart and sustainable transportation system. The project relies on an advanced system of artificial intelligence technologies and digital analytics to operate vehicles within a safe and efficient environment, making it one of the most prominent projects nominated to win in this category.
Dr. Abdullah Hamad Al Ghafli, Acting Director General of the Integrated Transport Center, confirmed that the victory reflects the progress achieved by the Emirate of Abu Dhabi in the areas of smart transportation, and confirms the center’s efforts in adopting projects based on modern technologies, noting that the TXAI project contributes to strengthening the transportation system in the emirate by providing an integrated and safe operational experience, in addition to continuing work on expanding the scope of the project and preparing the necessary infrastructure to accommodate autonomous vehicles, in keeping with the paths of digital transformation.
