Grand Imam: Al-Azhar will spare no effort in introducing the rights of the Palestinian people
His Eminence the Grand Imam received Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, today, Tuesday, in the Sheikh of Al-Azhar, Dr. Mahmoud Al-Habbash, Advisor to the Palestinian President for Religious Affairs, and Chief Justice of Palestine.
His Eminence the Grand Imam said that Al-Azhar Al-Sharif has not and will not spare any effort in publicizing the rights of the oppressed Palestinian people, and the unprecedented humanitarian violations to which innocent people in Gaza, the West Bank and other occupied Palestinian cities are exposed, And deprivation of the most basic rights of life, plans for Judaization, and repeated attacks on Islamic sanctities aimed at changing the historical, temporal and spatial status of Holy Jerusalem.
Al-Habbash Advisor to the Sheikh of Al-Azhar reviewed the current tragic situation in the Palestinian territories, pointing out that the Zionist violations in Gaza did not stop even with the adoption of a cessation of aggression, as the total number of martyrs since the announcement of the ceasefire reached more than 360 martyrs, In addition to the departure of health institutions and hospitals from the scope of service, and complete reliance on only three hospitals that provide their services with simple capabilities that are not commensurate with the scale of the humanitarian catastrophe that the Gaza Strip is witnessing.
The Palestine judge indicated that the Zionist violations were not limited to the Gaza Strip, but rather extended to include the West Bank and Jerusalem, especially the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Ibrahimi Mosque, which are witnessing unprecedented raids by officials. Occupation, and illegal attempts to change the temporal and spatial status of the two mosques; More than half of the area of the Ibrahimi Mosque was completely closed to Muslim worshipers, in addition to attempts to transfer supervision of it from the Islamic Endowments Authority to the Zionist Settlement Council, in order to facilitate control over it and change its Islamic identity.
