Egypt hosts the African Open Traditional Karate Championship with the participation of 15 countries

Egypt will host the African International Open Championship for Traditional and Unified Karate General during the period from 21 to 23 December at the Police Sports Federation hall, with the participation of more than 3,000 male and female players representing 15 African countries.

On the sidelines of the tournament, the African Master Course for Traditional and Unified Karate will be held on December 19 and 20, with the participation of more than 400 African coaches and referees, and organized by the African Traditional Karate Federation in cooperation with The Egyptian Federation, with the aim of developing technical and refereeing cadres on the continent.

The event is organized under the supervision of the African Federation of Traditional Karate, headed by Dr. Rami El-Makawi, with full compliance with the approved regulatory and medical procedures, in a new confirmation of Egypt’s pioneering role in hosting the African Championships and enhancing the status of traditional karate on the continent.

Dr. Rami El-Makawi, President of the Egyptian and African Federations for Traditional Karate, confirmed that Cairo will host the African Championships. Open Karate reflects great confidence in Egypt’s organizational ability and its leading position on the continent.

 Al-Makkawi explained that holding the Master Course on the sidelines of the tournament aims to develop technical and refereeing cadres and raise the technical level of traditional and unified karate in Africa, within the framework of a vision based on joint cooperation and sustainable sports development between national federations.
