Aspire: Abu Dhabi hosting "Future games" Enhancing its role in integrating sports with technology

ABU DHABI, 18 December / WAM / His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Saeed Al Khamiri, CEO of Aspire, the leading entity affiliated with the Advanced Technology Research Council, confirmed that hosting the activities of the Future Games in the capital, Abu Dhabi, as the first city in the Middle East, reflects the importance of the global event and Abu Dhabi’s role in presenting a new model that combines sports and technology.
His Excellency said in a statement to the Emirates News Agency, WAM, coinciding with the event, which is being held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center, ADNEC, and continues until December 23, that the Future Games are distinguished by the fact that they combine the physical and electronic activity of the game at the same time, as the team that participates physically is the same that participates electronically, which requires the presence of a team that is physically and electronically prepared at the same time, as the idea is based on merging youth games and interests with innovation and technology, which is consistent with the UAE’s directions and future vision.
The UAE is participating in this tournament with 7 teams, among more than 200 teams from around the world, competing in 11 competitive games, which confirms the advanced status of the event and its global size.
Al-Khamiri stressed that the capital, Abu Dhabi, has become a center for technology, and has entered the race of artificial intelligence, as it is part of daily life, which is clearly demonstrated by the great interaction with the Future Games, and the integration of these games with daily life reflects the success of this model and its ability to keep pace with the aspirations of new generations.
He pointed out that the country is a pioneer in adopting activities and events that focus on advanced technology and attracting competencies and minds, and the Future Games is an important platform that opens the way for the youth of the Emirates to enter this field, giving them broad opportunities in the sport of the future.
