FIFA prevents Baniyas Club from registering players for three periods

The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) doubled the extent of the difficulties faced by the Baniyas team, which occupies the penultimate position in the ADNOC Professional Football League standings with only 4 points after 8 rounds, after it decided to prohibit the club from making any contracts for the next three transitional periods, in a decision that is considered a strong blow to Al-Samawi, which was seeking to strengthen its ranks during the winter transfer period.
FIFA announced, through its official website, that Baniyas Club will be prohibited from concluding any deals during three successive transfer periods, which means depriving it of the winter transfer period, which begins next January 13 and continues until February 9, in addition to the summer transfer period for the year 2026, and the winter transfer period at the beginning of 2027.
The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) explained that its registration ban list, which includes a large number of clubs around the world, is a vital resource for the football community, as it includes detailed data on the clubs that are currently facing a ban on registering new players by FIFA decisions.
FIFA stated that the ban list includes clubs temporarily banned from registering new players due to various violations, such as financial disputes or regulatory violations. As an essential tool for member associations, confederations, clubs, players and agents, the FIFA ban list contributes to enhancing transparency and compliance within the football system, and enables all concerned parties to pursue clubs that are ineligible to conclude new contracts during the ban period.
It is noteworthy that Baniyas Club is the only ADNOC Professional League club on this list, which includes other clubs within the country, including Al Gharbia Club and Fleetwood United, which are active in the second and third divisions.
