Laba’s double in Kalba keeps Al Ain at the top of the league

Laba Kodjo scored two goals to lead Al Ain to victory over Kalba with two unanswered goals today, Saturday, in the ninth round of the ADNOC Professional League matches, at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain, to establish “Al-Zaeem” at the top of the standings with 23 points, while “Tigers”’s balance stopped at 11 points.
Al Ain played a strong match, as despite Laba Kodjo wasted more than one successful attack, the most notable of which was an incredible chance from a cross ball that went past the Kalba goalkeeper, but the Togolese international shot the ball outside the goal (13), and another chance from a cross ball played by Palacios and Laba followed it up with a shot over the crossbar (14), but the Togolese international shone and led the team to victory.
Laba opened the result by scoring the first goal in the 26th minute, from a cross ball played by Palacios, which fell from the hand of goalkeeper Sultan Al-Mundhiri and was completed by the Al-Zaeem striker in the goal. Then the league’s top scorer added the second goal in the 47th minute with a wonderful skill inside the penalty area, while the crossbar blocked Laba’s chance to score the third goal (56), so Al Ain achieved its seventh victory in the league.
