Al-Nasr returns from Baniyas Stadium “standing tall”

Al-Nasr maintained its series of positive results in the ADNOC Professional League by defeating its host Baniyas, 2-1, in Al Shamkha, in the 11th round of the competition.
Jontas Santos opened the scoring for Al-Nasr after an individual effort from the middle of the field, which he finished with a shot that landed to the right of the goalkeeper (18).
Baniyas equalized the score seven minutes later, following a magical pass from Savior Godin to Al-Hassan Koroma, who deposited the ball into the net.
The excitement continued in the 31st minute, when Al-Nasr succeeded in regaining its lead through Ramon Mezez, taking advantage of Mehdi Qaidi’s cross, and heading it into the goal.
Before the end of the first half, Baniyas received a penalty kick after returning to the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) technique. Shukurov shot it, but Abdullah Al Tamimi successfully blocked it (45+10).
Problems continued for Bani Yas in the second half, as their player, Lionel Wamba, was exposed to a direct red card after a violent intervention, so his team completed the match from the 53rd minute with ten players.
Al-Nasr raised its score to 18 points, climbing to fifth place, while Baniyas’ score froze at seven points in 11th place.
