Competitions continue "Haqiq rounds" At the camel parade at the closing Al Dhafra Festival

Al Dhafra, 6th January, 2017 (WAM) – The camel grooming competitions continued today as part of the activities and competitions of the final leg of the 19th Al Dhafra Festival, which is organized by the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority, and continues until January 22nd, in Madinat Zayed in the Al Dhafra region.
The competitions took place in 5 rounds dedicated to the age of truths, within the Sharaya rounds for tribal people (1 and 2) for the Local and Majahim categories, and the Al-Mahajanat Al-Asayel 1 round, and the organizing committee of the festival allocated 50 prizes to the winners.
Mohammed Qaran Al Noubi Al Ameri, the guest of honor of the auction, and His Excellency Obaid Khalfan Al Mazrouei, Executive Director of the Festivals and Events Sector at the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority, crowned the winners of the competitions, amid a large presence of camel owners, lovers of heritage auctions, and visitors to the auction.
The results of the Haqaiq Sharaya round for tribal people 1 – Local resulted in “Najla” for its owner Abdulaziz Muhammad Ayed Ali Al-Qahtani winning first place, “Tamweel” for its owner Muhammad Mubarak Muhammad Al-Rashdi, and third place for “Al-Maydiya” for its owner Hamdan Abdullah Muhammad Al-Qurini.
It won first place in the Haqaqiq Sharaya race for tribal people 1 – Majahim “Al-Ayyouf” owned by Dahyan Hassan Dahyan Al-Busbaa Al-Dosari, and in second place was “Ma’roufa” owned by Awad Salem Awad Al-Minhali, while third place went to “Wa’ad” owned by Omar Hussein Tuwaird Saleh Al-Minhali.
In the Sharaya Haqeqiq for Tribesmen 2 – Local round, “Shalfa” won first place, owned by Salim Saleh Musallam Al Mahrami, and second place went to “Al Danah,” owned by Nasser Hamad Suhail Awaida Al Khaili, while third place went to “Bint Watan,” owned by Hamid Saeed Al Sayed Saeed Al Mahrami.
It won first place in the Haqaqiq Sharaya race for tribal people 2 – Majahim “Wafa” for its owner Suhail Muhammad Kardos Obaid Al Ameri, and came in second place for “Sanaf” for its owner Ali Khamis Ali Saleh Al Mansouri, and won third place for “Tarikh” for its owner Rashid Muhammad Rashid Al Taraq Al Hajri.
“Wakad” won first place in the Al-Haqayeq race, the purebred hybrids (1), owned by Abdullah Saleh Jaber Al-Qamda Al-Amiri. “Ashwaq” came in second place, owned by Abdullah Mubarak Hamoud Salmeen Al-Mansouri, and “Rayah” came in third place, owned by Mubarak Obaid Salem Tamash Al-Mansouri.
This morning, the camels participating in the Sinn al-Haqiq rounds, including the local camels, the Majahim, the Asayel and the Wadha camels, entered the overnight camp, and their results will be announced tomorrow, “Wednesday,” at exactly four o’clock in the afternoon at the camel Mazayna platform in Madinat Zayed and through the “Our Heritage” platforms of the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority and through the Baynounah Channel and Al Dhafra Festival Radio 90.1 FM in the vicinity of the Mazayna site.
On a related note, the competitions of the first category of the mahaleb competition, which is held within the activities of the closing station of the Al Dhafra Festival, began today. This morning, the festival received camels participating in 4 local rounds in the categories of Al-Orabi and Al-Khawair (Al-Talad and Al-Sharaya), with the participation of 117 camels, and 40 prizes were allocated to the winners with a total value of one million and 200 thousand dirhams, with 10 prizes for the winners in each round, and the first category competitions will continue until January 13th.
The second category competitions (Al-Majahim) are scheduled to start on January 14 and continue until the 21st of the same month, within the two rounds of Al-Majahim Al-Sharaya and Al-Majahim Open, for which 20 valuable prizes have been allocated, with a total of 600 thousand dirhams.
