Saud bin Saqr receives a delegation from the Kennedy School at Harvard University

Ras Al Khaimah, 6 January / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, received at His Highness’s Palace in Saqr bin Mohammed City, today, a delegation from the Kennedy School at Harvard University, in the presence of Sheikh Sultan Saud Al Qasimi, founder of the Barjeel Arts Foundation, and member of the Board of Trustees of the American University of Sharjah, Dr. Tariq Masoud, Ford Foundation Professor of Democracy and Governance at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, and a number of University professors and students.

His Highness welcomed the university delegation and exchanged conversations with them about the importance of enhancing academic and knowledge exchange in building bridges of cooperation between educational institutions, and benefiting from advanced expertise in the field of specialized academic programs, student exchange, and implementing joint research projects.

His Highness stressed the keenness of the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah to provide an integrated educational environment based on quality and innovation, and keeping pace with global changes, in a way that contributes to preparing conscious and qualified generations, capable of contributing effectively to the nation’s renaissance process and enhancing its competitiveness regionally and globally.

His Highness praised the volume of fruitful cooperation between universities and educational institutions in the emirate with their American counterparts, and its role in exchanging academic expertise and enhancing scientific research efforts between the two sides, which contributes to developing student standards and enhancing the outcomes of higher education.

For their part, members of the American Harvard University delegation expressed their deep thanks and appreciation to His Highness the Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah for his generous hospitality and warm reception, praising the development and educational achievements achieved by the emirate, and the attractive environment it provides for academic and research partnerships, and affirmed their aspiration to build fruitful and sustainable cooperation with educational authorities in the emirate.
