Al-Wahda crosses Baniyas with a “hat-trick” from Khribin

Al-Wahda’s top scorer, the Syrian Omar Khribin, led his team to a valuable victory after scoring a hat-trick, all of which came from his Serbian teammate Dusan Tadic, so that Al-Anabi achieved a deserved victory with three unanswered goals at the expense of Baniyas, in the confrontation that brought the two teams together this evening at Al Nahyan Stadium, within the twelfth round of the ADNOC Professional Football League, with a crowd of more than 1,500 spectators in attendance.

With this victory, “The Excellencies” issued a strong warning to their former coach, the Portuguese Jose Morris, who will be a guest with his team, Sharjah, next Saturday, in the postponed match from the ninth round, knowing that Morris had terminated his contract with Al-Wahda before taking over the leadership of “The King”.

The victory gave Al-Wahda the opportunity to temporarily rise to second place with 24 points, while Baniyas’ score froze at 7 points in twelfth place, while Al-Ain tops the standings with 27 points.

Al-Wahda did not find any difficulty in imposing its control over the course of the match, as it decided the result practically from the first half, after Khribin scored his three goals in the 12th, 18th and 45th + 5 minutes, in an evening during which Tadic excelled by creating all three goals.

The Syrian international’s hat-trick raised his tally to 9 goals, making him second in the league’s top scorers list, behind Al Ain striker Laba Kodjo, who scored 12 goals. He also scored his seventh goal against Baniyas, all with a Al Wahda shirt, knowing that he had previously represented Al Dhafra and Shabab Al Ahly clubs.

On the other hand, Dusan Tadic was at the top of the list of goal makers in the league, after raising his tally to 7 assists, ahead of Al Ain player Alejandro “Kaku”, who had 6 assists.

This victory reinforced Al-Wahda’s series of positive results on its home field, as “Al-Anabi” continued its unbeaten record in the last 11 home matches in the ADNOC Professional League (7 wins and 4 draws), and also suffered only one defeat in the last 18 matches on its home field, and that was against Al-Bataeh with a score of 0-2 in January 2025.
