The Al-Wahda confrontation is ordinary, but it is worth watching from inside the stadium

Sharjah coach, Portuguese Jose Moraes, confirmed that the upcoming confrontation against Al Wahda, postponed from the ninth round of the ADNOC Professional League, scheduled for the day after tomorrow, Saturday, is a normal match for him and not a special one, even though it will be his first against his former team.

Moraes told Emirates Al-Youm, in response to a question about whether the match had a special character for him: “For me, it is an ordinary match, and we must win it and get the three points.”

He added during the introductory press conference for the match, which was held today, Thursday, at Sharjah Club: “We have to deal with the matter normally, as we are professionals, and this happens a lot in the world of football. “I am happy to return again to Al Wahda Club, as I have many friends there, and it is good to have the opportunity to meet them again.”

Moraes described the confrontation as strong and important for the Sharjah team, stressing at the same time that it does not have a special advantage over the rest of the matches, noting that it is one of the matches that deserves to be watched from inside the stadium and not from outside it.

He continued: “The match will be strong between two great teams, and they will present a distinguished match.”

The Sharjah coach went on to say: “I do not think it is a special match, even though it is the first time that I face the Al Wahda team that I previously trained, and this is the second time that I face a former team that I trained, after I faced Al Hilal Saudi Arabia previously during our participation in the AFC Elite Champions League. In the end, we are professionals, and this is normal in football.”

Moraes spoke about his team’s preparations for the match, stressing that it is proceeding according to the same approach followed in previous matches, explaining that the players received a complete rest yesterday with the aim of recovering, before starting preparations for the expected confrontation.

At the end of his speech, he pointed out the importance of the team’s technical level continuing to rise from one match to the next.
