The second edition of the Fazza Falcons Cup races will start on January 12

Under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai, President of the International Federation for Falconry Sports and Racing, and President of the Emirates Falconry Federation, the competitions of the second edition of the Fazza Cup for Talwah falconry races for a distance of 400 meters will begin on Monday, in Lahbab Square, affiliated with the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Center in Dubai.
This edition comes as an extension of the great success achieved by the tournament in its first edition last year, which established new concepts of excellence and leadership, and witnessed wide participation, advanced technical levels, and honorable results, which reflected the extent of the passion and professionalism enjoyed by the falconers.
This event is of special importance, as it was originally designed in appreciation and gratitude for the great role and continuous support that falconry enjoys from His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, as the tournament in its second edition continues to shed light on distinguished falconers, and provide them with the opportunity to compete for its valuable prizes and first places.
The Fazza Cup competitions for the general category (owners – open) will also be held next Monday, while the sheikhs category competitions will be held on the 17th of January, in 6 rounds.
The falcons in the chick category (Gir Shaheen, Gir Taba, Pure Gir, and Garmosha) that obtain the first three places in the Fazza falconry championships by talwah from the symbol and golden burqa rounds, in addition to the first place holder in the cash rounds, qualify to compete for the Fazza Cup for falconry races, with a total prize pool of 2,800,000 dirhams. The falcons in the chick category that finish in the first three places in the rounds of the Fazza Cup for falcon racing also qualify to participate in the closing rounds of the Mohammed bin Rashid Cup for falcon racing.
For his part, Rashid bin Markhan, Secretary-General of the International Federation for Falcon Sports and Racing, and Secretary-General of the Emirates Falcons Federation, Rashid bin Markhan, expressed his pride in the achievements achieved by this new championship, which has well-established values ​​and meanings, stressing that it has succeeded, since its first edition, in leaving a clear mark in the world of falconry racing at the national level.
He pointed out that the first edition of the tournament enjoyed a remarkable and high-level presence, as His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum were keen to monitor the levels of participants from the field and crown the winners in first place, in a gesture that reflected the closeness of our wise leadership to falconers, who belong to one of the most important sports associated with our history and national identity.
Bin Markhan added that the Emirates Falcons Federation published the list of terms, conditions and information for the event on social media platforms, emphasizing the Federation’s keenness to provide details related to the tournaments held under its umbrella throughout the year, and to deliver the information from its official source in the correct manner and at the appropriate time, ensuring that all participants and stakeholders are informed of the latest updates.
