Marmoush under the gaze of a Spanish giant
Media reports revealed that Barcelona is considering the option of contracting with Omar Marmoush, the current Manchester City striker.
The Catalan newspaper Sport reported that the Egyptian international stands out as a potential alternative if the Julian Alvarez deal cannot be completed, which could be worth up to 150 million euros, an amount that the Catalan club believes is exaggerated.
She explained, “Barcelona greatly appreciates Marmoush, especially after his distinguished performance in the German League with Eintracht Frankfurt and then with Manchester City in the English Premier League, where he gained the admiration of coach Hansi Flick and club legend Deco.”
The Spanish club considers the player a dynamic striker, capable of participating in various offensive positions, and distinguished by his ability to link the team’s lines and create scoring opportunities for his teammates.
Sources indicate that Manchester City may be willing to accept an offer less than the amount it paid to sign Marmoush, amounting to 75 million euros, which makes it an economical and realistic option compared to other potential deals.
Barcelona’s interest in acquiring the services of Omar Marmoush comes as part of its quest to strengthen the attacking line with a young player who possesses speed and the ability to move in different spaces, in a way that suits the team’s playing style this season and its preparations for local and continental competitions.
