"Al Jalila Foundation" Sign a memorandum of understanding with the academy "YA10" For football

Dubai, January 15 / WAM / Al Jalila Foundation – the giving arm of “Dubai Health” – signed a memorandum of understanding with the “YA10” Academy to develop football talents and hone the capabilities of young players in the country.

This came during a visit by a delegation from the Dubai Sports Council to the Foundation to review its sports programs and initiatives that support charitable work, and to discuss ways to enhance joint cooperation, which included His Excellency Khalfan Juma Belhoul, Vice Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council, His Excellency Saeed Hareb, Secretary-General of the Council, and a number of its officials.

The signing of the memorandum was attended by His Excellency Dr. Amer Sharif, Executive Director of Dubai Health, Director of Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences, Dr. Hanan Al Suwaidi, Deputy Executive Director, Executive Director of Academic Affairs at Dubai Health, Deputy Director of Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences for Academic Affairs, and Dr. Muhammad Al-Awadhi, Executive Director of the Women and Child Health Complex at Dubai Health. It was signed by Yahya Al-Ghassani, founder of the YA10 Academy, and Shamma Al-Rafi on behalf of About Al Jalila Foundation.

The delegation met with the “Champions of Hope” team of the Al Jalila Foundation, which includes a group of athletes who use sports as a platform for humanitarian giving, to spread the spirit of hope and encourage individuals and institutions to support the treatment of patients, and was briefed on the most prominent programs and initiatives of the Foundation’s sports charitable work.

Through a series of charitable sports initiatives, Al Jalila Foundation has succeeded in raising 15 million dirhams through more than 450 community sports initiatives and partnerships, with 100% of the proceeds going directly to support Al Jalila Foundation’s programs.

Khalfan Juma Belhoul stressed that the Dubai Sports Council is keen to support and encourage all national efforts and charitable initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality of life of community members, improving their level of health, and encouraging them to practice sports, pointing to the importance of the role of the “Team of Hope” as an inspiring model that spreads the values ​​of giving and goodness in society and employs the positive role of sports and athletes.

For his part, Dr. Amer Sharif explained that this visit reflects Al Jalila Foundation’s commitment to strengthening cooperation between the health and sports sectors, and unifying efforts to launch initiatives that contribute to improving the quality of life of patients and society, and support our vision of improving human health.

He appreciated the support of the Dubai Sports Council and the athletes who embody an inspiring model of determination and persistence, and contribute, through their participation in community initiatives, to consolidating the culture of giving and enhancing its humanitarian impact.

Participating in the meeting with the Dubai Sports Council delegation were Ghani Suleiman, who holds a Guinness World Record for the “T100x100” challenge, Mustafa Kan Yildiz, swimmer and coach of the young “Heroes of Hope”, and Woodan Cordero, cyclist and founder of the Charitable Challenges Initiative. Keisha Pais, the swimmer who crossed the Strait of Bonifacio between Italy and France for a distance of 15 kilometers in open water, Ahmed El-Shenawy, a supporter of the Al Jalila Foundation for more than ten years and leader of the charitable Himalayan mountaineering campaign, Issam Adams, founder of the charitable running club “Run 4 A Purpose,” and Aarti Shah, an athlete of determination within the “Heroes of Hope” initiative.

Yahya Al-Ghassani said that this partnership is an important step in uniting the efforts of “YA10 Academy” and “Al Jalila Foundation” to link sports with charitable work by involving athletes, organizing youth training programs and community challenges aimed at raising awareness, and collecting donations to support the Foundation’s efforts in providing treatment to patients who are unable to afford it.

For her part, Shamma Al-Rafi said that integrating sports activities and initiatives into charitable programs represents an innovative model for enhancing the culture of giving in society, noting that such partnerships contribute to alleviating the suffering of patients, and enhance Dubai’s pioneering role in employing sports as a positive force that makes a real difference in people’s lives.
