The establishment of the men’s elite competitions comes in cooperation with the “Court of His Highness the Ruler of Dubai” for the second year in a row, in light of the great success achieved by last year’s edition of the race through its distinguished route that starts from the heart of Dubai, passing through its most prominent cultural landmarks, and reaching the Al Marmoom Reserve in Saih Al Salam amidst its picturesque nature.

The race comes within the framework of the Organizing Committee’s approach to strengthening cooperation between the tournament and government agencies, as the competitions of the current edition of the tournament were launched at the end of last month, with the holding of the Emirati men’s amateur race, which was held under the slogan “Security and Security”, in cooperation with the Dubai Police General Command, where the race started from the headquarters of the Dubai Police Academy.

The tenth edition of the championship, held under the slogan “10 Years of Achievements and Success,” witnesses a great demand for participation and continuous development in the levels of participants, while celebrating a decade since the launch of the largest championship of its kind in terms of diversity and inclusiveness in the racing categories.

His Excellency Omair bin Juma Al Falasi, Director General of the Private Office of His Highness the Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Supreme Organizing Committee, announced that in implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Supreme Organizing Committee decided to increase the number of races for the tenth edition to 5 races, by adding a desert race for women, which will be held on January 31.

He explained that this step comes within the framework of the keenness to support women’s sports and give women the opportunity to participate in this type of challenge in the context of growing societal interest in cycling, and to continue building on the achievements and successes of the Ladder Championship in 41 races held over the past nine editions in addition to the first race in the tenth edition. He pointed out that the tournament has attracted, over its successive editions, the participation of 5,137 competitors of both sexes, who covered a total distance of 4,881 kilometers in Dubai, and the number reached 2,685 contestants won first places and won financial prizes.

His Excellency Omair Al Falasi confirmed, “The work teams have redoubled their efforts to bring about the elite men’s race, which we are honored to start again under the name “The Race for the Court of His Highness the Ruler of Dubai,” in the full manner of organization, as the start will be in front of the Court of His Highness the Ruler of Dubai, which is the edifice of which we are proud, and symbolizes the ambition from which we derive the determination to develop the ladder championship in keeping with the emirate’s global standing in terms of cycling championships in the country.”

According to the updated ladder championship program, the women’s race is scheduled to be held on January 25, while the women’s desert race will be held on January 31, and the men’s desert race is scheduled to be held on February 1, 2026.

For the second year in a row, the photography competition for the Ladder Cycling Championship, which is held in cooperation with the “Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Photography Award,” continues, as the first race, “Security and Security,” witnessed an increasing participation from photography enthusiasts and professionals, and this demand continues in the “Court of His Highness the Ruler of Dubai” race, where the entry window for submitting photos will be available until January 26 of this month.

This competition gives photographers the opportunity to document competitions and take the most beautiful pictures of prominent cultural landmarks in Dubai. The winners will be honored at the conclusion of the tenth edition, with financial prizes allocated for each race, 12,000 dirhams for first place, 8,000 dirhams for second place, and 5,000 dirhams for third place.

It is noteworthy that the tournament is being held in cooperation with a number of strategic partners, including: Dubai Police, Dubai Municipality, Roads and Transport Authority, Dubai Sports Council, Dubai Government Media Office, Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Photography Award, Dubai Sports Channel, Emirates Cycling Federation (general referee), and Dubai Film.
