المملكة: "Mecca environment" More than 11 tons of vegetables and fruits were delivered to a charitable organization in Jeddah

The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture in the Makkah Al-Mukarramah Region, represented by the Markets and slaughterhousesThe central fruit and vegetable market in Jeddah Governorate, by delivering a quantity amounting to (11,431 kg) of vegetables and fruits to one of the approved charitable organizations, as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance food safety and reduce food waste.
This procedure comes after completing inspections and ensuring the suitability of the products for human consumption, in accordance with the approved regulations and instructions, as the appropriate quantities were delivered to the charitable organization to benefit from it in supporting the beneficiaries of its services.
Responsibility Community
The Ministry’s branch confirmed that this initiative falls within the framework of social responsibility, and contributes to achieving integration between supervisory work and charitable work, in a way that enhances the benefit of valid food products and limits their destruction, while continuing to implement regulations against violators.
For its part, the beneficiary charitable association appreciated this initiative, praising the role of the Ministry of Environment, Water, Agriculture, and Markets and Slaughterhouses branch in supporting charitable work and enhancing food security.

/>The Ministry’s branch, represented by the Department of Markets and Slaughterhouses, continues to carry out its monitoring tours in the central fruit and vegetable market, and to coordinate with the relevant authorities, to ensure the safety of food supplies and consumer protection.
