Conclusion of the senior nationals competitions in the annual shooting championship
ABU DHABI, 22nd JANUARY / WAM / The competitions for the categories of senior citizens “60 years and above”, the “50 to 59 years” category, and the “40 to 49 years” category for the team plate-dropping competition were concluded yesterday, as part of the activities of the fourteenth edition of the annual shooting championship hosted by the Al Reef Shooting Club in Abu Dhabi, and its competitions will continue until next February 4.
The Al Ain team was able to win first place in the Senior Citizens category competitions, while the Nad Al Sheba team came in second place, and the Jumeirah team came in third place.
In the team dropping dishes competitions for the “50 to 59 years” category, the Saih Al Banah team won first place, while the Al Khawaneej team came in second place, and the Fujairah team came third.
The dish dropping competitions for teams in the category “40 to 49 years old” resulted in the Mayhab team winning first place, while the Baynouna team came in second place, and the Saih Al-Bana team came in third place.
The organizing committee of the tournament confirmed that the senior citizens category competitions constituted one of the most prominent stations of the fourteenth edition, due to its profound sporting and humanitarian dimensions, noting that this category receives special attention as it is a well-deserved tribute to a generation that contributed to building the nation and consolidating its values, and had the most prominent role in establishing society and enhancing its cohesion and stability.
