Al-Nasr loses to Al-Ittihad of Libya by 36 points at the opening of the “Dubai Basket”

The Libyan Al-Ittihad team defeated Al-Nasr of the Emirates by 36 points, with a score of (106-70), today, Friday, for the first group competitions, at the opening of the Dubai International Championship, which is currently being held in its 35th edition at the Rashid bin Hamdan Hall in Al-Nasr Club, and extends until the first of next February.
Al-Nasr missed the opportunity to end the first quarter ahead with a score of (24-22), after the Al-Ittihad team was able to regain the initiative, impose its rhythm on the rest of the course of the match, and decide the results of the second and third quarters and then the fourth quarter by (30-16, 28-19, and 26-11).
At 3 p.m. tomorrow, Al-Nasr will face the Syrian team Al-Wahda in the opening of the second round of the group league, while the Al-Ittihad team will undergo a rest phase, and on Sunday it will meet the national team in the opening of the third round.
It is noteworthy that the draw for the tournament placed the UAE national team and the Emirati Al-Nasr team in the first group, next to the Libyan “Al-Ittihad”, the Syrian “Homs Al-Fida”, and the Syrian team, while the defending champion, the Lebanese Beirut team, came in the second group, which included the Syrian Al-Karama, the Tunisian African, the Libyan Al-Ahly Tripoli, and the Philippine Zamboanga.
