المملكة: minister "Environment inaugurates the rain seeding research plane in Mecca and prepares for Ramadan
Insert Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture, Engineer Abdul Rahman Al-Fadhli, the rain enhancement research aircraft, the latest of its kind in the world, which works as an integrated atmospheric laboratory to measure atmospheric elements, and support studies and research related to Cloud seeding.
He also inspected the projects and programs of the National Aquaculture Group "Purify"He was briefed on its efforts to develop the aquaculture sector, through the application of the latest technologies and advanced scientific methods.
He toured the components of the experimental farm project, which is implemented by the Estidama Center; To contribute to increasing the efficiency of using water resources and modern irrigation systems; In a way that contributes to enhancing the sustainability of agricultural production.
This came during His Excellency’s visit to the Makkah Al-Mukarramah region, to inspect the projects implemented and supervised by the sectors of the environment, water and agricultural system in the region, and to determine the level of services provided to the beneficiaries. His Excellency was accompanied during the visit by a number of leaders and officials of the system.
Development Projects
During the visit, His Excellency made a field visit to the development projects implemented by the National Water Company. In Mecca and the holy sites; To contribute to raising operational efficiency and ensuring the sustainability of water distribution, to increase the reliability of supply and control of distribution, he also held a meeting with the company’s employees to determine its readiness to receive the holy month of Ramadan and the Hajj season for the year 1447 AH.
His Excellency inspected the groundwater and surface water purification unit project, which is being implemented by the Saudi Water Authority in Al-Laith Governorate, to enhance water sources. He also reviewed the progress of work in the Wadi Al-Laith Dam project, Watch a visual presentation presented by the General Irrigation Corporation. To reflect the level of progress of work in the project, and what has been accomplished according to the approved plan, His Excellency appreciated the efforts made to implement the project, given its importance in protecting Al-Laith Governorate, and strengthening the system of managing and supporting water sources.
During the visit, His Excellency reviewed the progress of the work of the experimental farm project in Al-Laith Governorate, which is implemented by the Estidama Center, and listened to a comprehensive explanation of the components of the project, its implementation stages, and its objectives that contribute to supporting water security. And food, and raising the efficiency of water use in the agricultural sector, and also targeted invasive trees in Wadi Al-Laith.
In addition, His Excellency the Minister chaired a meeting of the system "the environment" In the region; To discuss and review plans and programs for implementing development projects in the system’s sectors.
