The European Commission warns against dependence on American gas

European Energy Commissioner Dan Jorgensen said that fears are growing that Europe will be too dependent on the United States to supply it with Liquefied natural gas, after the US President’s threats shook the pillars of the transatlantic alliance.

Jorgensen told reporters in Brussels that "The geopolitical turmoil in the wake of the Greenland crisis served as a wake-up call"

He continued: While the Union reduces its imports from Russia, fears are increasing, and I also feel them, about replacing one dependency with another.
