The total number of companies operating within the RAKEZ system rose at the end of last year to more than 40,000 companies from around the world, strengthening its position as one of the most dynamic economic destinations in the region.
Growth in 2025 was mainly driven by service business licenses, which constituted 40% of the total new companies registered, followed by commercial licenses at 33%, while the e-commerce sector maintained its strong momentum, recording 17%.
The most prominent commercial activities registered during the year 2025 are general trade, e-commerce of products, services and consultations in project management, information technology and lifestyle development, in addition to marketing and commercial brokerage services, clearing transactions, and maintaining buildings and facilities.
This diversity reflects RAKEZ’s ability to support a wide range of business models, from consulting companies to commercial institutions and digital companies within an integrated system that supports the growth and prosperity of companies.
Rami Jallad, CEO of RAKEZ Group, said that the strong growth recorded by RAKEZ in 2025 embodies the continued confidence that companies place in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah as a place where they can establish, operate and expand efficiently. He stressed that receiving about 19,000 new companies within one year is clear evidence that the investment components of the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah resonate widely with investors from various sectors and markets.
He added that as RAKEZ continues to enhance this momentum, its focus remains focused on empowering companies in various sectors by providing flexible solutions and an ideal operating environment for business, noting that RAKEZ occupies a leadership position that qualifies it to support companies in exploring new opportunities, expanding towards regional and global markets and achieving sustainable growth in the long term.
RAKEZ continued to strengthen its global presence during the year 2025, supported by a remarkable diversity in the investor base, as India maintained its lead as the largest country of origin for new registered companies with 33%, followed by Pakistan with 8%, then the United Kingdom with 7%. Egypt and France were also among the most prominent contributing nationalities, which highlights the broad appeal of RAKEZ in South Asia and Europe, in addition to the broader global business community.
