“Fort George” wins the “Dubai Millennium Stakes” race in “Meydan”

The horse “Fort George”, owned by “Vtriani Hay”, was crowned champion of the “Dubai Millennium Stakes” for the third category “Group 3” for a distance of 2000 meters on grass, in the sixth and main heat in the tenth ceremony of the “Dubai Racing Carnival” season at the “Meydan” track.
The horse was supervised by trainer Ed Walker, and led by jockey Kieran Shomark, to cross the finish line in a time of two minutes and 1.29 seconds, just 0.01 lengths ahead of “Arabian Light,” owned by “Godolphin,” under the supervision of Charlie Appleby and driven by Billy Loughnane.
The ceremony witnessed the participation of 108 international and European horses in eight rounds, with a total prize pool exceeding 3.1 million dirhams, sponsored by DP World.
In other results: “Great Wish” won the “Dubai Sprint” race for the fifth round (1200 metres) with a time of 1 minute and 9.51 seconds, ahead of “Two Trips”. “Typho” won the third round, “Moj Stakes” for three-year-old fillies (1,400 metres), with a time of 1 minute and 24.20 seconds, ahead of “Fairy Oak.” “Title Roll” won the first round, “Jumaira Guineas” (1,600 metres), for three-year-old fillies.
“Salloum” won the second round in the “Jafza Logistic Park” for a distance of 1600 meters of sand, while “Tab Leader” won the fourth round for a distance of 2000 meters in the “par” category, while “Telemark” won the seventh round for a distance of 1600 meters in the “sand” category in the “par” category. “The Fingal Raven” concluded the evening by winning the eighth round “Dubai Auto Market” for a distance of 1600 meters on grass in the “par” category.
