Al-Ahly of Egypt maintains its lead in the “African Champions League”

Al-Ahly of Egypt maintained the lead in Group Two in the group stage of the African Champions League, with a 1-1 draw away from home with Young Africans of Tanzania in the fourth round, yesterday.

Al-Ahly, the historic champion of the continental championship with 12 titles, raised its score to eight points from four matches, three points ahead of its host, Tanzanian, who is in second place.

Young Africans took the lead in the first minute of stoppage time in the first half through Ibrahim Mohammed.

Al-Ahly equalized an hour after the start through Mali Dieng with a powerful shot from inside the penalty area, following a cross pass from Ahmed Mostafa (Zizou).
