During his meeting with the youth of Kuwait and the Emirates at the Zayed National Museum.. Nahyan bin Mubarak: We are proud of the great leaders God has given the two countries.

ABU DHABI, 1st February, 2018 (WAM) – His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, expressed his deep pride in the great leaders God has given Kuwait and the Emirates who work with sincerity and true love for the homeland, the nation, and all of humanity. He extended his utmost greetings and appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of the State of Kuwait, praying to God to preserve him as an asset, a beacon, and a source of pride and inspiration for the people of Kuwait. The Gulf, the Arabs, the Muslims, and the world. He also expressed deep gratitude and appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him,” for his continuous giving and growing achievements that serve the homeland, the region, and the nation, and for his keenness on fraternal relations with everyone, especially sister Kuwait.
This came during the open meeting that His Excellency brought together with the youth of the Emirates and Kuwait at the Zayed National Museum, who are currently participating in the activities and initiatives organized by the Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence and Sandooq Al Watan over a period of 8 days, to celebrate Emirati-Kuwaiti relations, which embody sincere brotherhood, a common destiny, and solid values that have made the two brotherly countries shining models in the region and the world.
The meeting was attended by His Excellency Sheikh Salem bin Khalid Al Qasimi, Minister of Culture, His Excellency Jamal Muhammad Al-Ghunaim, Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to the Emirates, His Excellency Afra Al-Sabri, Director-General of the Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence, His Excellency Yasser Al-Gergawi, Director-General of Sandooq Al-Watan, and a number of federal, local and intellectual leaders in the Emirates and Kuwait.
His Excellency welcomed the Kuwaiti youth to their second country, wishing them a good and fruitful stay and a rich experience that reflects their determination and enthusiasm, and the broad hope they represent for the future, and a source of goodness and giving to society and humanity.
His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan pointed out that this celebration of the fraternal relations between the two countries, and the programs and initiatives it includes, comes as an expression of deep pride in the strong ties between the two countries, and is an occasion to send a greeting of peace, love, brotherhood and appreciation to the sister State of Kuwait, stressing that the UAE and Kuwait are one people, united by a common history, authentic heritage, established values, and continuous achievements. He added that the UAE holds a special appreciation for Kuwait, its leadership, its people, and its spirit rooted in pride, giving, authenticity, and love of goodness for all, describing Kuwait as a country of intellectual and cultural radiance, a country of tolerance and coexistence, and sincere belonging to its Gulf, Arab, Islamic, and global surroundings.
His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan affirmed that the Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence and Sandooq Al Watan are proud of the sincere enthusiasm they see in the faces of young people to strengthen fraternal relations between Kuwait and the Emirates, pointing out that this week’s activities, which extend over eight days, constitute a practical space to translate this enthusiasm into joint action, through the programs of Knights of Tolerance, Pioneers of Identity, and Youth Retreat, in addition to dozens of meetings, dialogues, and field visits to national monuments in the country.
His Excellency called on young people to be role models and role models in adhering to the common principles and values from which these activities stem, expressing the hope that they will culminate in the formation of the Emirati-Kuwaiti Fraternity Committee, the implementation of joint youth projects, the establishment of a Tolerance Club in Kuwait, and the issuance of the Abu Dhabi Declaration of Youth Fraternity between the youth of the two countries, to be a leading global model in fraternal relations between young people.
His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan reviewed the four principles on which this joint vision is based, explaining that the first of them is loyalty to the true religion, to the family, to the homeland, and to the Arab and Islamic nation, as this is a path to achieving coexistence, peace and prosperity. The second principle is represented by love of the homeland and pride in the nation, and the awareness, wisdom and responsibility associated with it, taking initiative, acquiring education and knowledge, benefiting from expertise and experiences, respecting the directives of leadership, studying successful experiences globally, and looking to the future with confidence and optimism. The third principle lies in the ability to communicate positively with others, develop the values of tolerance and peaceful coexistence, respect for different cultures and civilizations, and work for social justice and respect for humans everywhere. The fourth principle is to ensure an effective contribution to achieving comprehensive and sustainable development at the national, regional and global levels.
His Excellency stressed the importance of a person always being a model and role model in relating to the issues of his society, understanding its challenges, and participating consciously and intelligently in confronting them, calling on young people to adhere to these principles, and to be role models in tolerance and human brotherhood, as this is the safe way to enhance self-confidence, in the homeland, and in belonging and loyalty to the leadership and national goals, pointing out that the age of technologies and information provides unprecedented opportunities for learning, acquaintance, and creative communication, and spreading the values of peace, tolerance, and coexistence among peoples.
At the conclusion of his speech, His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan expressed his hope that the friendships and relationships that arose between the youth during this week would develop into joint cooperation and successful initiatives, and that the knowledge gained would be beneficial to them and their communities, praying to God that the strong fraternal relations between the two countries would continue and develop in various fields.
He also thanked all the parties that contributed to supporting and organizing these meetings, most notably the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Embassy of the State of Kuwait in the Emirates, the Arab Youth Center, Kuwait University, youth centers in Kuwait, and the Abu Dhabi Media Network.
For his part, Dr. Salem Matroud Al-Shammari, head of the Kuwaiti youth delegation participating in the celebration of Emirati-Kuwaiti relations, expressed his deep thanks and appreciation to His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, for the generous hospitality and warm reception that the Kuwaiti delegation received from the moment of its arrival in the Emirates, stressing that this fraternal spirit reflects the depth of the historical and strong relations that bring together the two brotherly countries.
Al-Shammari praised the quality of the purposeful programs and events in which Kuwaiti youth participate alongside their Emirati youth peers, describing them as wonderful and inspiring, because of the cultural and societal contents they carry that contribute to enhancing the values of cooperation, acquaintance, and exchange of experiences among Gulf youth.
He added that these initiatives represent a successful model of joint youth work, and reflect a clear vision that believes in the role of youth in building the future. He expressed the Kuwaiti delegation’s aspiration for the continuation of such programs that strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and open broader horizons for integration between the people of the two countries, stressing that the high organization, rich content, and distinctive humanitarian experience that the delegation witnessed will remain appreciated and cherished by all participants.
