"Emirates National" It implements a cultural exchange program for its students in the Russian Federation

Abu Dhabi, February 11, 2017 – Emirates National Schools organized an international educational and cultural program for female students in the eleventh and twelfth grades from its school complexes, which included an official educational visit to the Primakov School in Moscow, Russian Federation.

The program comes within a strategic institutional direction adopted by schools, to provide qualitative education that goes beyond the boundaries of classrooms and traditional curricula, and places the student at the heart of a rich global learning experience, based on conscious openness, civilizational dialogue, and direct human interaction.

The visit constituted an integrated educational and cultural experience, embodying the concept of cultural exchange in its practical and humanitarian form, as the female students integrated into an international, multicultural educational environment, and participated with their counterparts at the host school in a series of academic programs and joint cultural and creative activities.

These activities included specialized artistic workshops, including a workshop on the art of traditional Russian painting, in addition to field visits to prominent historical and cultural landmarks such as the Kremlin, in addition to leadership, communication and linguistic activities aimed at developing dialogue and teamwork skills in an international context.

The experiences provided the students with the opportunity to gain an in-depth knowledge of Russian culture and the customs and traditions of society, in exchange for presenting live examples of Emirati culture, the Arabic language, and the values ​​of Emirati society.

Through their behavior and cultural representation, the female students also reflected the honorable image of the UAE, based on the values ​​of tolerance, coexistence, respect for others, and openness to different cultures, which are values ​​that constitute an integral part of the country’s cultural message to the world.

The program included an official event to raise the flag and the national anthem of the UAE and the national anthem of the Russian Federation on the campus of the host school, in a symbolic scene that embodied the strategic relations between the two countries, emphasizing the vital role of education in supporting sustainable international partnerships and promoting rapprochement between young generations in various countries of the world.

The trip also included an official visit to the headquarters of the UAE Embassy in the Russian Federation, where the students met His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Al Jaber, the UAE Ambassador to the Russian Federation.
