Implementing a new evaluation system for teachers and linking the results to job characteristics

The Minister of Education, Sarah Bint Youssef Al Amiri, revealed that the Ministry has implemented a new system for evaluating teachers this year and linking its results to job advantages, noting that developing legislative frameworks is an ongoing process that is being worked on in a manner that takes into account the specificity of the educational system.

Al Amiri said, during her discussion today in the Federal National Council session on the topic “Government policy regarding the quality of life of educational staff and its impact on the outcomes of the educational process”: “The Ministry is working on a complete system for training, development and development, and providing continuous support and incentives to educational practitioners, to enhance the quality of educational practices.”

She added: “The Ministry is preparing professional development plans for teachers, continuous guidance, activating digital training platforms, linking development programs to the needs of the field, in addition to linking the educational field to any changes in the curriculum and the application mechanism.”

The Minister affirmed the Ministry’s keenness to consolidate the teacher’s social status, which is not achieved with just one procedure, but through an integrated system that the Ministry is working on, by developing the professional environment, supporting career development opportunities, encouraging an environment that consolidates the partnership between school, home and society, controlling students’ behavior and rejecting any transgression towards the teacher and respecting him and his status, stressing that consolidating the teacher’s status is a shared societal responsibility that begins with the family by establishing the behavior of respecting the teacher.
