المملكة: Thwarting the smuggling of 218,000 prohibited pills hidden in a shipment "Paints"

The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) at Al-Bathaa port prevented an attempt to smuggle 218,280 pills subject to medical circulation regulation, which were seized hidden in a consignment coming to the Kingdom through the port.
The official spokesman for the authority, Hammoud Al-Harbi, explained that a consignment had been received. "Paints" Through Al-Bathaa port, and when it was subjected to customs procedures, and was detected using security techniques and live means, that quantity of grains was seized hidden inside the consignment.
Tight control
Al-Harbi confirmed that (ZATKA), through all its customs ports, continues to tighten customs control over the Kingdom’s imports and exports, and stands on the lookout for attempts by smuggling lords; In order to achieve the most prominent pillars of its strategy, which is to enhance the security and protection of society, by reducing attempts to smuggle such pests and other contraband.
He called on everyone to contribute to combating smuggling to protect society and the national economy, by contacting it on the number designated for security reports (1910) or via e-mail (Email: 1910@zatca.gov.sa) or the international number (); Through these channels, the Authority receives reports related to smuggling crimes and violations of the provisions of the Unified Customs System in complete confidentiality, while granting a financial reward to the informant if the report’s information is correct.
