Dubai Press opens nominations for the “Arab Social Media Pioneers” categories

The Dubai Press Club announced the opening of applications for participation in the sixth session of the “Arab Social Media Pioneers Award,” for a full month, until next March 16, to provide the opportunity for content creators, influencers, and social media pioneers from various parts of the Arab world to apply and compete for one of the award categories.
The award comes within the framework of the great interest that His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him, attaches to Arab content creators and their pivotal role in shaping societal awareness, enhancing the positive Arab presence in the global digital space, and establishing a responsible digital media system that contributes to building the future and spreading knowledge and positive values.
In its current version, the award includes 12 categories covering various fields that reflect the expanding influence of digital media in various aspects of life, and includes: podcasts, arts and entertainment, entrepreneurship, sports, tourism, audience, economy, culture, best platform for children, influential personality of the year, community service and health, in addition to the best news platform category.
Director of the Dubai Press Club, Maryam Al Mulla, confirmed that the Arab Social Media Pioneers Award has become one of the most prominent initiatives supporting content makers in the region, noting that it is inspired by the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum in establishing the positive role of digital media, and enhancing its influence as a tool for building awareness and enabling Arab societies to invest their energies and capabilities.
She added that the award also embodies the directives of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council, to strengthen cooperation with social media pioneers, and to confirm the use of their widespread presence and influence on social media platforms to serve the community, and to provide qualitative content that contributes to spreading knowledge and promoting positive values.
Al-Mulla explained that the award continues to achieve its goals in stimulating the constructive roles of content makers and encouraging excellence in providing high-level content that serves Arab societies and touches on their issues and aspirations, noting that the award categories were designed to ensure diversity and inclusion to cover various vital sectors and areas of interest that witness a wide presence on social media platforms.
For her part, Director of the Arab Social Media Pioneers Award, Salma Al Mansouri, confirmed that the award has established its position as a leading Arab platform that celebrates responsible influence and supports the digital media system within the umbrella of major events organized by the Dubai Press Club, most notably the “Arab Media Summit,” the largest media gathering of its kind in the Arab world, and the “Arab Media Award,” which represents the most prominent platform for celebrating excellence in traditional and digital journalism.
She explained that honoring the winners will take place next March as part of the “Arab Media Summit 2026,” and in front of an elite group of leaders and decision-makers in the media sector across the region, noting that the winners are selected through a series of precise evaluations, according to clear professional standards with the participation of an elite group of experts and specialists in digital media, within a complete framework of transparency and objectivity to ensure the crowning of the most worthy and most influential in the Arab world.
The club welcomed all entries from various parts of the region and the world, either by the candidate himself registering for the award, or by nominating others for him, if they found in him the characteristics and achievements that qualify him to compete to win one of the award categories, and in accordance with the requirements, conditions and standards of the award, through the digital platform.
The Arab Social Media Pioneers Award, in its sixth session, affirms the Dubai Press Club’s commitment to supporting the Arab digital media environment, and enhancing the role of content makers in providing responsible and purposeful messages that contribute to building effective community awareness, and highlighting influential Arab models capable of using social media platforms as tools for development and dissemination of knowledge, in a way that reflects the aspirations of Arab societies and enhances their positive presence in the global digital scene.
