Barcelona fined 30,000 euros… and warned Flick

The European Football Association (UEFA) announced the imposition of financial sanctions against the Spanish club Barcelona, following its match against Slavia Prague in the Czech Republic in the seventh round of the group stage of the Champions League, which ended with the Catalan team winning 4-2.

Details of the disciplinary penalties are as follows:

Fan unrest: The club was fined €15,500 for fans setting off fireworks in the stands.

Late entry: The club received an additional fine of €15,000 for late entry to the pitch.

Warning to the coach: UEFA issued an official warning to Barça coach Hansi Flick as a result of this delay, which is the lightest penalty on the sanctions scale.

The total fines imposed on Barcelona amounted to 30,500 euros, which is less than what was imposed on Slavia Prague, which was fined 40,000 euros with a decision to partially close the stands of its stadium in the next European match (with a two-year suspension).
