An Egyptian player died when he was hit by a car while distributing breakfast meals

A charitable work that aimed to bring joy to those who were fasting turned into a painful tragedy, after the young player Moatasem Zakaria, captain of the Mansoura Workers Club team, was killed in a painful accident in Dakahlia Governorate.

The accident occurred before the sunset call to prayer, on Saturday, while he was distributing breakfast meals and dates to travelers and passers-by on the road, in a volunteer initiative he used to participate in during the month of Ramadan.

The President of the Egyptian Football Association, Hani Abu Raida, mourned the young player, while the coaches and officials of the youth sector at the Mansoura Workers Club expressed their great shock, stressing that Zakaria was not just an ordinary player, but rather was the captain of the “Born in 2011” team and was known for his outstanding talent and high morals, and a bright future awaited him in the world of football.
