During a call with the Head of State, the Egyptian President condemns the Iranian attacks on the Emirates and a number of Arab countries

Today, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, received a phone call from his brother Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, President of the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt, addressing the military escalation taking place in the region and the risks it entails of expanding the scope of the conflict and its dangerous repercussions on regional and international security, stability and peace.

During the call, the Egyptian President expressed Egypt’s condemnation and denunciation of the blatant Iranian attacks that targeted the lands of the UAE and a number of sisterly Arab countries, and its solidarity with the UAE in everything it does to defend its land, security and sovereignty, stressing the necessity of respecting the sovereignty and integrity of these countries and the principle of good neighborliness and exercising the utmost levels of self-restraint at this dangerous stage in the region’s history.

The two sides stressed the necessity of giving priority to the language of dialogue and diplomacy in order to avoid expanding the scope of the conflict and sliding the region into a spiral of escalation that threatens regional and international security and peace.
