Tehran has not yet decided on its participation in new talks with Washington

Iranian media reported on Sunday that Tehran has not yet decided on its participation in a new round of talks with the United States, while the official IRNA agency said that “there are no clear prospects for fruitful negotiations.”
Fars and Tasnim agencies reported, citing unnamed sources, that Tehran had not yet made its decision regarding participation, and that “the general atmosphere cannot be considered very positive,” noting that lifting the American blockade on Iranian ports is a precondition for holding talks.
On the other hand, IRNA pointed to “the maximalism of the United States and its unreasonable and unrealistic demands, the frequent change in its positions, the constant contradictions, and the continuing naval blockade,” adding that “in these circumstances, there are no clear prospects for fruitful negotiations.”
