The agreement includes Ahmed Khalil to form an attacking duo with Balotelli

Al-Ettifaq Club, competing in the UAE First Division League, announced its official contract with former national team star Ahmed Khalil, in a free transfer deal, to represent the first football team during the current sports season’s competitions.

The Executive Director of Al-Ettifaq Club, the Portuguese Ricardo Pinto, revealed the completion of the contract with the Emirati striker, expressing his happiness at having a player of his value and experience join the club’s ranks.

Pinto told Emirates Al-Youm: “Ahmed Khalil is a player who has a distinguished artistic quality and mentality, and a rich history with the various clubs he represented. We are confident that he will be a strong and qualitative addition to the team in its current journey towards achieving its goals.”

Ahmed Khalil is expected to form a striking attacking duo in the First Division, as he will play alongside Italian star Mario Balotelli, among a group of players the club has attracted to enhance its ambitions this season.

The joining of Ahmed Khalil, a former winner of the Best Player in Asia award, comes after a career full of achievements with the national team and several local clubs, giving the agreement a great technical and moral boost in his career in the competition.
