Starting implementation of the National Autism Platform with support "Hungarian" Coinciding with World Autism Day

Abu Dhabi, 1st April / WAM / “Majra – The National Fund for Social Responsibility” announced, within the framework of translating the objectives of the Year of the Family, and in conjunction with World Autism Day, which falls on April 2nd of each year, the start of implementation of the National Autism Platform project.
The project is owned by the Ministry of Health and Community Protection, in partnership with the Qimam Center for Rehabilitation Therapeutic Services and Psychological Evaluation, which is the official sponsor of the project, and in partnership with the Emirates Autism Society, as a strategic initiative aimed at developing an integrated and sustainable system to support and empower families with autism spectrum disorder, and improve the quality of services provided to them, in line with national trends aimed at enhancing the quality of life.
The implementation of the project comes after the signing of an agreement between the concerned parties, in a model that reflects the integration of roles between the public, private and academic sectors, as well as non-profit institutions and companies with a social impact, in a way that enhances sustainable impact and unifies national efforts.
The project is based on developing a specialized digital system that provides accredited international training programs in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), including certificates from the Behavior Analysts Certification Board (BACB), in addition to professional accreditation programs that contribute to raising the efficiency of staff and improving the quality of services provided to children, which reflects positively on family stability.
In this context, Sarah Shaw, Executive Director of the Majara Fund, said that the start of implementation embodies the transition to the stage of tangible impact, stressing that the Fund is working to transform social responsibility into initiatives based on measurable impact and maximizing social return.
She added that the project contributes to bridging the skills gap among specialists through training and accreditation programs that include the “Registered Behavior Technician” (RBT), which enhances the efficiency of workers and improves the quality of services.
Dr. Maysoon Al-Shaali, Head of the Environment and Occupational Health Department at the Ministry of Health and Community Protection, confirmed that the project constitutes a qualitative leap in empowering cadres through accredited training programs, which contributes to raising the efficiency of workers and improving the quality of services.
Psychologist Sumaya Nasr al-Din, Director of the Qimm Center for Rehabilitation Therapeutic Services and Psychological Evaluation, explained that financing the project and the technical implementation of the project supports the development of rehabilitation services according to the highest standards, and contributes to achieving a sustainable impact.
For his part, His Excellency Ali bin Shumail Al Kaabi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Autism Society, stressed that the project represents a practical step to translate the state’s vision, through initiatives that empower the family and place it at the heart of the support system, noting that the partnership enhances the sustainability of the social impact.
With this vision, the project enters the implementation phase as a national initiative that reflects the spirit of the Year of the Family, and translates partnerships into a tangible impact that enhances the quality of life for people of determination and their families, coinciding with this global occasion that emphasizes the importance of uniting efforts to support and empower this group and their families.
