Abu Dhabi Athletics develops programs to qualify players through their participation in"International forums"

ABU DHABI, 29 JULY / WAM / The Abu Dhabi Athletics Club announced the development of programs to prepare male and female players by approving their participation in international conferences, to qualify them according to the best international practices, in preparation for participation in local and foreign tournaments for the 2026-2027 season.
His Excellency Khalid Rashid Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Club’s Board of Directors, confirmed the launch of the rehabilitation program for players Nasser Al Kaabi, Ahmed Al Awlaki, Rashid Al Alawi, and Salem Al Alawi, under the supervision of distance coach Hussein Darraj in the Republic of Ethiopia for a month, which includes live experiences and participation in competitions, to acquire skills and develop capabilities.
He explained that the rehabilitation program is currently continuing in Addis Ababa at the “Yaya Village” global complex for preparation and training for long-distance runners. He pointed out the participation of Fatima Al Hosani, a discus thrower and shot put player, in an international qualification forum in the Republic of Slovenia from July 28 to August 28 next, amid a specialized professional environment, exposure to advanced training schools, and her colleague Salma Al Marri with our national team in the World Youth Championship under 20 in the city of Eugene in the American state of Oregon from 5 to 9 next August.
