المملكة: Riyadh Municipality receives membership in the International Society of City and Regional Planners (ISOCARP).
The delegation received Riyadh Municipality Membership of the city of Riyadh in the World City Planning Council ISOCARP for a period of 3 years, during an official visit to the organization’s headquarters in the city of The Hague, in a step that enhances the capital’s presence within the international urban planning network.
The visit came in response to the organization’s invitation, as the head of the delegation received Assistant Undersecretary M. Saleh Al-Saif Membership.
Planning Knowledge Exchange
The visit witnessed the holding of specialized discussion sessions that dealt with urban transformation and the exchange of planning knowledge.
In addition to carrying out field visits to a number of pioneering urban projects in the Netherlands, allowing access to international experiences and the exchange of expertise in the areas of planning and city development.
This participation reflects the presence of the city of Riyadh as an active partner in making future cities, and strengthens its position within the global platforms concerned with urban planning and knowledge exchange.
Promoting urban development. Sustainable
This step comes as an extension of the Riyadh Municipality’s efforts to promote sustainable urban development and build effective international partnerships, in a way that supports the achievement of its vision of being a leading municipality for a prosperous and sustainable Riyadh that raises the quality of life, and contributes to developing services and improving the city’s experience for its residents and visitors.
