The Sharjah Women’s Sports Team wins prominent medals in the fourth round of the Bow and Arrow League

Sharjah, April 7, WAM / Sharjah Women’s Sports Club players recorded outstanding results in the fourth stage competitions of the UAE Bow and Arrow League, which was held over two days at the fields of the Police Officers Club, where the team was crowned with a number of individual medals and outstanding group results in performance that reflects the stability of the technical level and the integration of work across the various categories.
The first day’s competitions, which witnessed the qualifying rounds, confirmed the readiness of the Sharjah players before entering the final rounds, as Samia Odineva topped the under-18 60-meter bow category, followed by Mona Al-Sharaa, then Sheikha Al Ali.
In the under-21 bow category, Sarah Ali Abdullah achieved first place, while Noura Adel Al Mazmi came in third place, while Fatima Al Balushi took the lead in the women’s category, followed by Snehal Divakar in third place.
In the composite bracket, Amna Al-Awadhi continued her strong presence by topping the women’s category, and Marwa Salman Al-Balushi achieved second place in the under-18 category, in addition to Sarah Adel Al-Mazmi topping the under-21 category, in indicators that reflected the stability of the team’s technical performance.
In the second day’s competitions, Sharjah’s female players imposed complete control over the under-18 bow category after claiming the first three places, as Samia Odineva was crowned with the gold medal, followed by Mona Al-Sharaa with the silver, while Sheikha Al Ali came in third place.
Snehal Divakar also continued her brilliance in the women’s bow category by winning the gold medal, while Maha Al Hosani won the silver. In the under-21 bow category, Sarah Ahmed Al Balushi won the silver medal, and Noura Adel Al Mazmi came in third place.
In the compound arch competition, Amna Al-Awadhi excelled by winning the gold medal in the women’s category, while Marwa Salman Al-Balushi won the bronze in the under-18 category, in competitions that witnessed a strong presence of players from all participating clubs.
At the team level, the Sharjah Women’s Sports Club won the gold medal in the 60-meter arch competition for a distance of 18 years, through the trio of Samia Odineva, Mona Al-Sharaa, and Sheikha Al Ali, while the team won the bronze medal in the 70-meter arch competition.
Zakher Tagayeva, coach of the bow and arrow team at the Sharjah Women’s Sports Club, said that the results of the stage reflect positive aspects of the team’s performance, in addition to important indicators of some details that require more work during the coming stages.
She added: In general, the team performed well, but we continue to work on improving some technical aspects to enhance stability and raise the level of competitiveness. Each stage of the league gives us a clearer understanding of the areas of development, and we are working to build on them in the coming period.
These results confirm the continuing rise in the level of Sharjah Women’s Sports Club players in light of an integrated training system that supports technical and mental readiness and enhances the team’s ability to compete steadily in various local competitions.
