The General Administration of Education in the Makkah Al-Mukarramah Region, in cooperation with the branch of the National Society for Human Rights, organized an extensive awareness meeting entitled "Students’ rights and duties"

The meeting witnessed the presence of Sheikh Professor Dr. Saleh bin Abdullah bin Humaid, Imam and Preacher of the Grand Mosque and Advisor to the Royal Court, who stressed the importance of educating students about the principles of rights and duties in order to build a stable and productive life.

The Director of the National Society for Human Rights, Professor Khaled Al-Fakhiri, and the General Director of Education in the Makkah Al-Mukarramah Region, Professor Abdullah Al-Ghannam, participated in the event, with the aim of preparing a responsible student and an active element in his community who contributes to advancing the wheel of national development. The General Director of Education in the Makkah Al-Mukarramah Region, Abdullah Al-Ghannam, explained that the issue of students’ rights and duties represents a solid foundation for building a safe and stimulating educational environment in which the student’s dignity is preserved and his abilities are enhanced. Al-Ghannam pointed out the Ministry of Education’s keenness to integrate the roles between the school and the family to consolidate educational values ​​in the hearts of young people.

President of the National Society for Human Rights, Khaled Al-Fakhri, stressed that rights and duties represent the basic foundation for societies’ stability and civilizational progress in light of contemporary challenges. Al-Fakhri explained that true citizenship is translated through responsible practices and behaviors that reflect national belonging and respect for prevailing systems and laws.

He revealed the association’s ongoing efforts to spread the culture of rights and consolidate the principles of justice and human dignity within the school environment, stressing the pivotal role of teachers and scholars in shaping awareness and building a conscious generation capable of creating the future and keeping pace with accelerating changes efficiently and competently.

His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Saleh bin Humaid spoke during the meeting about the importance of discipline as the main driver for achieving academic and professional success in a student’s life.
